"Flayvors of Washington"
Recipe Contest Winners

Earlier this year we challenged food and wine lovers to create an original recipe inspired by our Grand Estates wines and flavorful ingredients from Washington state.

After carefully reviewing all of the entrees, 10 outstanding recipes were selected as semifinalists. With our winemaker, Ray Einberger, serving as one of the judges, these recipes were tasted and scored and the five recipes with the highest scores moved on to the final phase of judging.

At the finalist judging, which took place in the Food Network test kitchens in New York City, Flay and Food Network Sous Chef Miriam Garron, who regularly appears with him on the Food Network series "Throw Down with Bobby Flay," tasted and scored the five finalist entrees to determine the top three recipes. The winning recipes are posted below.

We would like to thank everyone who entered the contest. We received many great recipes that showcased our Grand Estate wines and the bountiful ingredients our home state has to offer.
